What is Ask Ollie?
Ask Ollie is an AI HR assistant that answers employee questions from your organization's approved HR documents and routes uncertain or sensitive questions to HR for review.
How does an HR team get started?
Create a workspace, upload your employee handbook and core policy documents, invite the HR or people operations team, then test common questions before inviting employees.
What documents should we upload first?
Most teams start with the employee handbook, PTO and leave policies, benefits summaries, holidays, expense and reimbursement rules, remote work policies, code of conduct, and onboarding materials.
Does Ask Ollie replace HR?
No. Ask Ollie handles repeatable policy questions and helps employees find answers faster. HR still owns policy decisions, exceptions, investigations, employee relations, and final guidance.
What happens when Ollie is not confident?
Ollie can flag answers for human review or let an employee escalate a question to HR. The HR inbox includes the employee's question, Ollie's draft answer, and the conversation context.
Can HR see which employee sent a review request?
Yes. HR review messages show the sender so your team can follow up directly and keep a clear audit trail for employee support.
Can employees see every HR document?
Employees can use Ask Ollie to get answers from available documents. Admins manage which documents are uploaded, renamed, deleted, downloaded, and reindexed.
How do we keep answers current?
When a policy changes, upload the new document or replace the old one, then reindex. Ollie will use the updated material for future answers.
Does Ask Ollie support Google sign-in and email sign-in?
Yes. Teams can use Google SSO, and users can also sign in with a secure email link, which helps organizations that have mixed identity setups.
How does onboarding work for a new organization?
A new workspace owner confirms their profile, names the organization, adds branding, chooses a trial or paid plan, and can then invite teammates and upload documents.
What is included in the free trial?
The free trial includes up to 5 users and 50 total AI messages. No credit card is needed to start the trial.
How does paid billing work?
The Team plan is designed as a simple monthly organization fee plus active seats. Billing is handled through Stripe checkout and managed from the admin area.
Can we use Ask Ollie for multiple organizations or subsidiaries?
Yes. Each organization has its own workspace, members, documents, HR review messages, usage, and billing state.
What should HR review before launch?
Review uploaded documents, test common questions, confirm escalation routing, invite the right admins, verify billing or trial status, and make sure employees know Ask Ollie answers from approved policy documents.
What kinds of questions should employees not ask Ollie?
Employees should not use Ollie for emergencies, legal claims, harassment reports, medical advice, or urgent employee relations issues. Those should go directly to HR or the appropriate internal process.
